Thank you everyone for using Backseat AI so far! We’ve been overwhelmed by your support since launching less than a week ago. At Backseat AI, we're dedicated to creating a unique gaming experience. Today, we're excited to share our product roadmap with you, and what's coming up next.

Current features

First, let’s recap what currently exists in the Early Alpha phase. Right now, you have access to:

• Backseat Buddy: Get commentary and insights on the match as it happens from Tyler1 through voice and overlay. Know what to buy, how to play lane matchups, and more!
• Post-Game Lobby: After a match, go to the PGL page to get a detailed game summary, with strengths, improvement points, and callouts for each player.

Upcoming features

Here’s a look at what areas we’re focusing on in the next quarter. We’ll also be making smaller quality of life improvements along the way (like being able to report bad messages in-game).

Improving the usefulness of AI coaching in-game and audio quality

We’re working with pro coaches to improve the advice you get in-game, fine-tuning the AI to reduce hallucinations, and collecting more audio data to add more dynamic-ness to the voice, among other things.

Adding more outside-of-match features

Our immediate next focus is to revamp the design and content of the post-game lobby, followed by pre-game support such as pick and suggestions, item build recommendations, match up advice, and auto-import functionality.

We’re also working on social features including a Discord bot that lets your friends hear Tyler1 when you’re streaming and a Team Sync feature that lets your friends get team-level advice. While these are coming up, we want to prioritize adding more value to the individual experience first before expanding to social.

‍Supporting more creator voicepacks and languages

We’re releasing Chinese Tyler very soon, and are also planning to support Korean and Spanish. We can’t share with you which creator voicepacks we’re adding yet, but we can say that Tyler1 won’t be the only voice by the end of the quarter.

Talking back to Tyler in-game

Wouldn’t it be great if you could ask Tyler to explain more about why he offered the advice he did, or ask him what you should build next? This is it! We’re still working on what’s the best way to implement this in-game, and this will take a bit longer to implement than the other features on our roadmap due to its complexity.
